Troops optimistic in Iraq, Afghanistan; hard to foresee endgame in Syria, Ben Sasse says

WASHINGTON — Things are looking up in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., said as he returned from a weeklong trip to the Middle East.
